Logistics Manager

Primary Objectives
The primary focus for this role is to ensure continuity and effective logistics flow to ensure projects are not
inhibited or delayed
A critical focus is on communication with key stakeholders both internal and external to the organisation

Duties and Responsibilities
Develop system solutions to support logistics programs and partner with key cross functional stakeholders to
identify and rectify programs improvements and opportunities;
Develop and implement industry best practice standards that may differentiate the organisation from the market
place and that drive customer satisfaction.
Manage the supply of logistics related activities to support customers with a view to investigate potential risks
and/or other significant matters;
Analyse data to monitor performance and plan for improvement strategies in delivery performance;
Work across business to ensure a seamless delivery of logistics activities;
Control and coordinate the order cycle and associated storage and movement of goods in conjunction with the
warehouse team;
Negotiate third party contracts and supplies that benefit the company and enable deadlines to be achieved;
Manage supplier delivery performance and maintain and evaluate supplier contracts;
Implement and embed a continuous improvement ethos in all logistics activities.

HSE Responsibilities
Shall comply with instructions relating to safety at the place of work; adhere to suitable means of protection
against: injuries, occupational diseases, fire and other hazards which may result from the use of machinery and other equipment and ensure that he comply with personal protective equipment requirements
Mandatory reporting of incidents/accidents & near misses
Participation in risk assessments and complying with legal & other requirements
Required competencies
Education and Experience : Extensive overall logistics management experience with specific experience in an oil
and gas project management environment; An Arabic speaker is desirable; Ability to understand complex
government regulations and translate this information into business terms and concepts; Experience in
developing clear procedural documentation; 7-10 years experience; Degree in Logistics or associated discipline;
Microsoft Office (work and Excel)
Behavioural Competencies: Strong analytical troubleshooting and problem solving skills; Effective
communication skills to include verbal, written; Strong time management and ability to priorities to meet
deadlines; Ability to build and maintain sustainable relationships; Strong negotiation skills with a diverse range
of customers
