There will be some networking events that you will be expected to attend as well as business meetings and you will promote the brand image at all times. Completion of ad hoc projects as and when required will also add benefit. Complete ad hoc special projects as and when required.

The Role

My client, a market leading company is currently recruiting a Tax Manager to join the team in Dubai, UAE.
The position requires a qualified CA, ACCA or CPA Tax Manager who has an excellent knowledge of tax strategy and planning, research, compliance, filing and tax audits. The role will involve liaising with external tax advisors across the MENA region and manage a small team based in Dubai.

Key responsibilities include:
Overseeing the preparation, completion, review and submission of income tax, VAT (and equivalent) and Withholding tax returns within the filing deadlines and in compliance with the local tax law;
Coordination with Regional Finance teams to develop efficient corporate income tax processes ensuring compliance with local laws and accounting standards;
Managing tax audits and coordinating appeals ensuring all data is compiled to support tax positions taken;
Management of transfer pricing tax planning and related documentation including review of inter-company agreements and liaison with the Legal department for revisions when applicable;
Preparation and update of tax positions, advising on tax provisions and related accounting matters (including tax forecasting & budgeting);
International tax structuring and planning (when applicable);
Advising on cross border transactions and related double tax treaties;
Researching and drafting various tax technical positions for the group’s Senior Management team, Shareholders and external auditors;
Tax Advisory liaison with the business to keep them informed of tax issues and legislative changes, providing advice on the tax implications of transactions and reviewing terms and conditions in contracts and other agreements to ensure tax efficient operations;
