The Role 
Our Client has an opening for a full time Accountant in their Dubai office (the role also covers our Doha office and the successful candidate will be expected to travel to Doha). The candidate must have Accounting experience and enjoy a fast-paced and changing work environment with a solid understanding of all facets of an international western law firm.

This position reports to the Director of Administration (Middle East) and Head of Finance International.

Responsibilities include:
Accounts payable – vendors and expenses.
Accounts receivable.
Bank reconciliations.
Billing, collections and credit control/inventory management.
Payroll.
Maintaining relationship with Bank and Corporate Managers.
Responding to ad-hoc regulatory requirements – internal and external.
Planning for annual internal and external audit including tax returns.
Drafting mid-year forecast and yearly budget.
Completion of annual surveys as required by DIFC/QFC.
Preparing financial reports for partners meetings.
Overseeing vendor relations and maintaining cost efficient procurement.
Administering Annual Flight Entitlement scheme.
Drafting ME holiday calendars for firm-wide information and overseeing annual leave submissions for PTO/Payroll.
Preparing overtime submissions for approval.

Requirements
The position requires a minimum of 4 plus years of finance/accounting experience including at least 1 year in an international law firm.
Experience of Elite is mandatory.
The candidate must be fluent in written and spoken English to the highest of standards.
The candidate must possess demonstrable strong administrative, organizational, and interpersonal skills, be highly detail-oriented and have the ability to multitask, prioritize and manage workload.
Must be able to work independently as well as part of a team.
Proficiency in Microsoft Word for Windows required.
